"Become an engineer of innovation"
"Become an engineer of innovation"
What do we do?
SeeByte creates some of the world's most advanced software for managing unmanned and remote vehicles and assets. We pride ourselves on our world-class engineering and smart solutions designed for customer-specific needs.
What makes us Different?
Beyond visualisation and automation, SeeByte systems extract information to create awareness, which can be used to reason intuitively and autonomously. These technology and deployment capabilities make SeeByte-enabled remote machines more productive, safe and reliable; operational performance is significantly enhanced at a reduced cost.
We have a diverse team of developers, focusing in the design, development and testing of software. Our culture is defined by our creativity, pushing the boundaries and mutual respect. We have a range of interests, from charity runs and travelling to unicycling and rubix cube challenges. We place a high value on career development and encourage all employees to continuously enhance their existing skill set. The team follow industry best practices and standards. It is young, dynamic and committed to providing leading edge Robotics and Autonomy capabilities.
All graduate positions are based at our headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city. Known as the Athens of the North, Edinburgh has one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world. Read more about us through our website, where there are video features available for you to view.

Who are we looking for?
- 2:1 degree or above in a software engineering related discipline.
- Keen, enthusiastic and eager to build a career in software engineering.
- Some software experience in Java and/or C++. Academic or project experience in a relevant field (HCI, Navigation, Signal / Image Processing, Data Management) would be an advantage.
- An interest in Robotics and Autonomy.
- You must have the right to live and work in the UK before applying.
- We would welcome and encourage our past interns to apply for our graduate positions.
What does it mean for your career in Software engineering?
- You undertake a structured 18 month training scheme to equip you with the skills required to rapidly progress within SeeByte.
- You have the opportunity to gain experience in a unique learning environment, where you will be able to develop your technical and soft skills, putting your academic learning into practise.
- From the outset, you will be involved in a project with other SeeByte engineers, providing a real solution in fields as varied as underwater robotics or offshore wind-farms. For example, you may be developing the software to allow a robot to autonomously inspect subsea oil structures; or a Graphical Interface that allows military personnel to control their robotic assets.
- A personal development plan will allow you to set goals for yourself and also spend some time focusing on the softer skills like team building and presentation skills.
- Exposure to working with a range of international clients, spanning from the military, offshore and subsea sectors.
- You will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from experts in the field of underwater robotics developing software solutions for a company who are recognised world-leaders in their field.
To apply, you should complete the applicant information form, which can be obtained by contacting our HR department and send this, along with your CV and cover letter, to hr@seebyte.com. Please include within this what you would bring to SeeByte and why you would want to be on the SeeByte graduate programme.
