InteGRail

The InteGRail project demonstrated a holistic, coherent information system, integrating the major railway sub-systems, in order to achieve higher levels of performance of the railway system in terms of capacity, average speed and punctuality, safety and the optimised usage of resources. To achieve its core objectives, InteGRail addressed for the first time all railway subsystems at the same time, taking into consideration fleets, infrastructure, operation and traffic management to better integrate them through a global approach.

To perform the proposed work, a consortium of most of the major stakeholders in the railway area, along with SeeByte and other SMEs and universities worked together to deliver a standard platform solution. SeeByte's core objectives for this project saw it develop the On-Ground Condition Analyzer by creating a knowledge-based intelligent fault system that accurately classified railway vehicles.
