Alastair Cormack

Alastair Cormack is the key point of contact for SeeByte's clients and partners regarding their engineering needs. His focus is to communicate relevant engineering issues between the client or partner and SeeByte, to maintain improvement in the company's product capability and continue delivering to specific market demands. As an Engineer Manager his main focus is the current design of SeeByte's software architecture. Alastair's vast software engineering background in both military and offshore sectors paired with keen business acumen and problem-solving skills has created the perfect synergy required for this position.

Alastair joined as one of the founding members of SeeByte's management team. He established his career at SeeByte as the principle architect of SeeTrack Military technology. Throughout his 15 years of industry experience, he has developed SeeByte's navigation processing system, using image databases and multimedia products, become a trained UUV operator and worked in offshore operations for over 10 years. Alastair plays an active role in many military working groups. He is a member of the U.S. Navy's Programme Office, Common Operator Interface working group, where SeeTrack Military is used as the common interface program for Naval Special Clearance Team One.

Alastair enjoys spending time with friends and family, however he can regularly be found partaking in adventure sports globally. It is not unusual to hear tales Alastair flying down mountains on his bike in California, sailing in the Firth of Forth in Edinburgh, waterskiing in Singapore or snowboarding in Canada.
