David Farquhar, Chairman
As Chairman of SeeByte, David contributes a wealth of experience gained through his background as a serial entrepreneur, turned angel investor, turned venture capitalist. As an independent entrepreneur David has co-founded or invested in several innovative companies that brought to market a range of solutions and products from mobile applications, 3G wireless infrastructure technologies to drinks brand management, an on-line recruitment service for the film industry and a brew pub chain.
The early 1990's saw David grow and sell innovative companies in Scandinavia before founding the Idesta Group in 2001; which grew to become the largest provider of mobile enterprise applications in EMEA in just 18 months. David led Interactive University from 2003 to 2005, a global higher education e-Learning developer and distributor. He then found 2in10 in late 2005 advising over 100 companies, helping them achieve the skills and the necessary investment to drive international sales growth. At present David chairs the Industrial Advisory Board at the University of Dundee's School of Computing where he is also an Honorary Lecturer in Product Management & Marketing. He has also helped grow a number of international technology companies based in Scotland such as HoundDog Technology and Embedded Technology Solutions.
On the rare occasion David manages to acquire some spare time, he enjoys mountaineering, village cricket and real ale.
