Chief Technology Officer
Scott Reed was promoted to Chief Technology Officer in July 2020. As the CTO he responsible for defining and communicating the technical direction and vision of the company to ensure SeeByte meets their current and future customer requirements.
Scott joined SeeByte in 2004, and in 2005 he was an invited scientist to work at the NATO Undersea Research Centre in La Spezia, Italy. In 2006 as the Technologies Development Manager, Scott was in charge of overseeing SeeByte's involvement in key US ONR programs, including, VSW Mine Neutralization and Confined Area Search. Scott was promoted to the Head of Engineering in 2009.
After attaining his Master’s degree in Astrophysics from the University of Edinburgh, Scott attended the Ocean Systems Laboratory at Heriot-Watt University to complete his PhD, specializing in automated detection and classification techniques in electro-optic and acoustic data.
